01Acceptance of terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BibleWise mobile application (the "App"), operated by BibleWise ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
02The service
BibleWise provides Bible reading and audio in English and Spanish, an AI-powered Bible chat feature, Bible quizzes, daily faith tools, and a private prayer journal. The App is intended as a devotional and educational companion, not as a religious authority or professional counseling service.
03AI Bible Chat disclaimer
BibleWise is not a substitute for the guidance of a pastor, priest, chaplain, or other qualified faith leader, nor for professional mental health support. If you are experiencing a personal, spiritual, or mental health crisis, please reach out to a trusted faith leader, a mental health professional, or a crisis helpline in your area.
04Purchases & subscriptions
Certain features may be offered through in-app purchases or subscriptions, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play in accordance with their respective terms. Refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes are handled by Apple or Google — we do not directly process payments or issue refunds outside of those platforms.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store account settings.
05Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's underlying models or content
- Use AI Bible Chat to generate or spread harmful, hateful, or misleading content
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation or security
- Misrepresent AI-generated responses as official church or denominational teaching
06Your content
You retain ownership of your journal entries and any messages you submit to AI Bible Chat. By submitting content, you grant BibleWise a limited license to use it to provide the App's features — including generating chat responses and saving your journal — and, where AI Bible Chat messages are involved, to improve response quality on an aggregated or de-identified basis, as described in our Privacy Policy.
07Intellectual property
The App, including its design, software, AI models, and original content (excluding your submitted content and public-domain Scripture text), is owned by BibleWise and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our permission.
08Termination
We may suspend or restrict your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete it from your device at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including the AI Bible Chat disclaimer and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
09Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated responses will be accurate, complete, or theologically consistent with any particular tradition.
10Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BibleWise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including reliance on any AI Bible Chat response or content within the App.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
